Hindhead Piano Course 2010
PLEASE NOTE - Performing places for this course are now fully booked. There is still capacity for observer places.
The dates for this course are 29th July until 1st August 2010 with Simon Nicholls and James Lisney.
The repertoire this year will be own choice from the music of Chopin and Schumann with participants encouraged to bring a further piece of own choice repertoire (maximum 8 minutes) for inclusion in the final concert.
Performing places are limited to sixteen and there is plenty of capacity for observers. Early booking is essential for this popular course and many of the performing places are already reserved.
The emphasis of the course is on building musicianship along with skills and confidence. The relaxed country house setting of Hindhead (with many delicious meals) encourages a free flowing dialogue amongst the students and course leaders. A full range of standards is welcomed and the material for the classes does not need to be `concert ready`.
The workshops will be complemented by improvisation classes, lectures, question and answer sessions, concerts and discussions of recorded performances. The observer option is extremely enjoyable and very good value.
